Fishing Report: September 7th

As Autumn looms near and the temperatures start to drop, the schools are moving in towards the mouth of Four Mile Bay and the Lighthouse Gap. Crankbaits and spinners with shiners are producing the best. Hot spinner color are chartreuse, hammered gold with red eye, and anything with a good UV glow. Big Traverse has schools roaming throughout, with pike mixed in. The wind has been blowing lately, and many anglers have taken to the river in the morning or late evening. Suckers are moving, and the shiner run won’t be far behind.
