Fall Fishing Report-September 20th, 2017

Walleye in numbers just outside the Lighthouse Gap. Schools are starting to gather near the south shore 11′-17′. Morris Point Gap producing in 27′ – 30′.  Jig with live shiner is hot, as the shiner run is about to start full force. Pink and gold have been the hot colors, as is characteristic of this time of year. The MTT Tournament last weekend produced numerous walleye over 28″. River fishing is picking up as the shiners start to move. Trolling with spinners, chartreuse/orange, pink/ purple combo is hot in the Rainy. Many sturgeon over 50″ and 60″ being boated.
